CALENDAR:
Monday--There is no school. HAPPY LABOR DAY!
Tuesday--Board of Education meets--please go to the SDUSD website for information
Wednesday: Foundation is having a meeting at 6:30 pm via Zoom. This is our Parent Group dedicated to fundraising for the school. Please go to their website at serrfoundation.org.
SENIOR CLASS OF 2021 BOOSTERS:
TEXTBOOKS LAST CHANCE:
All grades showed up again on Friday and the line was long. Please come at your assigned times. This went out in call and email. We stagger grades etc according to specific data so the line runs smoothly. We apologize but we did have a solid plan in place.
Make Up days for textbooks and computers: We will not be issuing after these dates. You need to show up as this will be your last chance. The dates and time are as follows:
WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 9th from 9 AM - 2 PM : Please go to the North LOT and understand you may need to wait.
SCHOOL SITE GOVERNANCE AND SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL:
We are in need of several people for each of these committees:
Governance--Deals with instructional issues on campus--We need 2 parents and 2 students
SSC--Finances of the campus--We need 1 parent and 1 student
**We want as many different students and parents as possible so please sign up for one if possible****
You have until September 14th to fill it out and elections will start September 18th.
MIRAMAR:
Miramar courses start Tuesday, September 8. This is what you should know:
PLEASE NOTE: WHEN YOU COME TO GET YOUR COLLEGE BOOKS ON WEDNESDAY YOU MUST KNOW YOUR TEACHER's NAME and PERIOD. THEY ALL HAVE DIFFERENT BOOKS FOR THE SAME COURSE. We wont be able to tell as we don't see those schedules.
Students will access their online Miramar courses here: https://sdccd.instructure.com/login/canvas and sign in using their 10-digit Miramar ID number and password.
Miramar is currently finalizing their class rosters and will be enrolling up to the start of class on Tuesday Sept. 8th Therefore, students might not be able to see their class yet.

Since Miramar enrolls students in specific sections with professors that require different textbooks we will distribute books at a TBD DATE so we know exactly which text to give you. Professors know students will not have textbooks to start off the semester.

SAT and PSAT:
We are offering the SAT hopefully in October and there is currently no plan to offer PSATS. SAT scores are waived by most colleges in California for the next several year.
SENIOR PORTRAITS: this already went out but we know people missed it.
