It's Almost Here!

Hello Q-Nation!

One more week to go until the holidays! We had an amazing Principal's Coffee today where we talked about the district's Vision 2030 and received input from parents. If you want to give your input feel free to review the powerpoint from the coffee here. At the end, there is a link you can type in and give input. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1JKyqe0FH6KcDjlLvRhKn13Cxu7g8L5g20jJJ8F9fZTY/edit?usp=sharing

We have many athletic teams with alumni games coming up; please check the Athletics section of the website and Max Preps online.

Our ROTC has been collecting donations for their canned food drive. Thank you, everyone, in ROTC donating canned foods to give to the homeless for the holidays.

The grand total for all donated cans and goods is…. 648 pounds!

Pep Rally! On Friday December 20th, ASB will be hosting a Pep Rally to commemorate the accomplishments of so many of our athletic and other teams here at Serra! For the first time in the history of the Serra Football team winning the CIF championship. But that's not all, we will also be celebrating the field hockey team (CIF Finalists and Runners-Up), our drum line, cheer, and ROTC just to name a few. So get ready for this Pep Rally, because it's going to be the most spirited one yet!

Saturday School is this Saturday (tomorrow). There is NO Saturday School next week. The next one will be on January 11, 2020! Please look at your child's attendance online and look at how you get on the LOP list. Slips go out reminding students they should attend. NOTE: Second semester they are not as frequent so please do not gamble with this; especially seniors.

Lastly we have been in classrooms a lot evaluating teachers. If you have concerns, we implore you not to wait and to reach out to teachers in order to make sure your child is being supported and in addition that teachers are using the common grading policy and rubric (see previous blog from week 1 and 2). Did you know we have SHS gear! Check it out! Proceeds go to our Serra Foundation....please go to http://serrafoundation.org/ to order.

Principal's Coffee: The January coffee is now January 24 at 730 AM.The new dates are on the master calendar; see you then.
