ACE Mentoring:
Tierrasanta Town Council: Student Opportunity!
My name is Steve Muckle, I've taken over for Jan Whitacre as chair of the Tierrasanta Community Council.
As you may recall the TCC appoints a Serra High student to a non-voting position on the TCC in October each year. The position is currently vacant.
The TCC normally meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm in the Tierrasanta Rec Center eight months out of the year - January, February, March, April, June, July, September, and October. Due to COVID these meetings are currently being held via Zoom.

ATHLETICS:
Athletes, please remember to go online to goconquistadors.com to see information for the upcoming seasons. You will also find the instructions for the online platform to use in order to signup for athletics at Serra High School. You will find the necessary physical forms for the doctor on the platform. Please remember all sport physicals must be dated after June 30,2020. Physicals and confirmation pages must be downloaded to the site.
On Wednesdays, from 9am to 12pm the front office will be excepting sports physicals and confirmation paperwork. These will still need to be collected as the school must have the original documents on file.
Student-Athlete and Parent Sports Night
Serra will have a student-athlete and parent sports night for Season 1 and Season 2 via Zoom. These nights will communicate the most current information of the seasons and review information that you will need to know. The Athletic Director will be speaking at the meeting along with the head coaches from each sport.
Season 1 Meeting Oct. 27 at 6:30pm
Season 2 Meeting Oct. 29 at 6:30pm
The Season 1 start date of December 12, 2020 is approaching . Remember to go to the goconquistadors.com website weekly to see Serra Athletic updates and athletic schedules.

FAFSA support for senior students:
Cal-Soap (https://www.calsoapsandiego.org/) is an organization we partner with each year to support students with college applications and completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
This year they will be providing their services by meeting with Class of 2021 students individually over zoom to assist them with completing their FAFSA. If you would like your student to meet with a Cal-Soap rep to complete their FAFSA please submit Cal-Soaps application here: https://ucsd.mylacai.com/apply.php

If a student wants to start a new club or renew an existing club, they need to begin the process by going to the SHS web page. Then, mouse over the menu titled “Students” and click on CLUBS. Or, you can get to the clubs web page HERE.
