WOW October Already!

Happy Saturday Serra High!

Semester 1 Progress Report 1 was October 2nd. Grades are due at 8am Monday morning and grades then go through a vetting process. Once the grade is finalized I'll send out communication as such. We do not mail them home. They are located on Powerschool.

We had a great Principal's Coffee on Friday and if you missed it here is the presentation:

We understand that missing school may be causes some social emotional issues at home. We at Serra have the most successful Wellness Center in the district. We can help! Please reach out to Dani Octon at this link https://sites.google.com/sandi.net/student-wellness-center

We have a very busy week this week with parent meetings. Please take note below and mark your calendars.

Updates on clubs and athletics and other items are below as well.

Lastly, We acknowledge and understand that Orleck Housing will be experiencing power outages. We have the dates and they are on all the staff's calendars. We are here to support you. Please make sure to remind your individual teachers should a mistake happen (marked absent etc).

WIWMPK

What I Wish My Parents Knew Recap

The first What I Wish My Parent Knew of the school year, Frameworks to Success: Adapting to Distance Learning, was a success! Students facilitated a conversation about what students wish their parents knew about distance learning, the challenges, what they need to be successful, and how their parents/caregivers are supporting them during this time. Subject matter experts from Ashford University and the Military Child Education Coalition shared their wisdom and provided many resources and tools for students and families about organization and social-emotional health. If you missed it, you may watch the videos below for forum highlights and the entire forum. In addition, the links to the PDFs with all the resources provided are below. We hope you can join us for the next What I Wish My Parents Knew forum, Tuesday, November 17th at 5:30 PM. You may register here: https://wiwmpk2020-2021.eventbrite.com/
